K 2 Play dough 

 

Ingredients: 

1 cup of Salt 

1/4 cup Oil 

2 cups of Boiling Water

1/8 cup of Cream of Tartar 

Food Coloring (to your liking)

Essential Oils (5 drops at best, optional)

3 cups of Flour

 

Large mixing bowl 

Spatula

Open Surface 

 

Directions:

Add Salt and Oil in to bowl. Add essential oils and food coloring. Gently mix. Add boiling water to mixture. Add Cream of Tartar and gently stir. Slowly stir in a cup of flour at a time. You may need to add more flour if texture is not right. At play dough cools mixture will begin to set up. Once mixture is cool enough for an adult to touch. Adult will knead play dough on counter until no longer sticky and ready to play. 

Popsicle sticks make great decorations to use in play dough when children are playing.
